Grounded Living
Built for a family who travel often and live outside whenever they're home. The architecture is mid-century in vocabulary—low-slung horizontal volumes, a butterfly roof at the entry, generous glazing, and an upper floor tucked over part of the plan. No basement; the program is organized horizontally, close to grade.

Crafted Divide
Two covered outdoor patios and a rooftop deck give the home a disproportionate amount of outdoor living for its size—a deliberate move that prioritizes being outside. The standout interior moment is the open stair, set behind a screen of vertical fir slats pinned through steel rods at every tread—a single piece of millwork that operates as guardrail, room divider, and light filter at once.

Planned for Life
Edge House is what happens when an architect and a family that travels frequently work together to design a smaller, well-disciplined home that handles being left alone, and an outdoor program that comes alive whenever they're back.
